Designed as a modern tropical residence for multi-generational living, the project reinterprets the experience of a luxury hotel within a private home.
The client’s aspiration was simple: to create a residence so comfortable and immersive that the desire to stay in hotels disappears entirely.
K Residence was conceived as a contemporary architectural statement balancing monumentality and refinement. Positioned on a prominent corner site, the residence establishes a strong urban presence while maintaining privacy and residential warmth.
The project explores the dialogue between solid architectural mass and intricate detailing, creating a home that feels both protective and expressive.
The design is defined by a bold cantilevered volume wrapped in a custom geometric screen. Acting simultaneously as façade identity, solar control, and visual filter, the feature element transforms throughout the day — shifting from a sculptural exterior expression to a glowing architectural lantern at night.
Clean horizontal lines and restrained material palettes reinforce clarity of form, allowing proportion, light, and shadow to become primary design elements.
Public and private zones are carefully layered to enhance movement through the residence. Generous openings connect interior spaces with the surrounding streetscape while maintaining controlled visual privacy.
Natural textures, warm lighting, and carefully composed landscaping soften the architectural geometry, ensuring the home remains inviting despite its strong contemporary character.
A curated palette of stone, textured concrete, and warm-toned finishes creates contrast between permanence and comfort. Integrated lighting highlights architectural volumes and accentuates depth, emphasizing the residence’s sculptural quality after sunset.
The master bedroom is conceived as a calm retreat defined by softness and spatial generosity. Floor-to-ceiling glazing allows natural light to filter gently through layered curtains, creating a constantly changing atmosphere throughout the day.
Curved furniture elements soften the architectural lines, while the sculpted ceiling introduces quiet visual movement above. Warm neutral tones and integrated lighting reinforce a sense of relaxation, transforming the room into a restorative environment centered around comfort and daily rituals.
Designed for versatility, this bedroom balances rest and productivity within a compact footprint. A geometric feature wall establishes a strong visual identity while maintaining a refined elegance suitable for long-term use.
